For Lenders

Equipment collateral verification for lenders

A third-party record of the collateral, made on site at origination and renewed on schedule. Your credit team, examiners and auditors can check each certificate themselves.

What goes into the collateral record

  • Serial number, VIN or PIN read off the plate, with a photo of the plate
  • Hours or odometer on the date of the visit
  • Location where the agent found the asset
  • Condition photos, and video on Expert verifications
  • The borrower's answers to standardized questions, on camera
  • Date and time, sealed with a digital signature and an independent timestamp

The agent is dispatched by IronMarket and has no part in the loan. The record is made before any dispute exists, which is what makes it useful at audit, claim or workout.

Checkable without a login

Every certificate has a public code. Anyone with it can confirm at ironmarket.com/verify that the record is authentic and unaltered. The signing key is published for offline checks.

Built for a loan file

At origination

Verify the collateral before closing, so the file starts with a witnessed record.

Each year

Certificates stay current for 6 or 12 months. A renewal adds a new dated check-in to the same record, so the file shows the collateral over time.

Across a portfolio

An organization account groups verified assets under named accounts, so your team can review a borrower's collateral together.

Shared, not emailed around

Borrowers can share their certificates with your institution from their IronMarket account.

Ordering verifications for borrowers

  1. Submit the request form with the asset and its location. If the borrower owns it, choose "No, someone else owns it" and enter the borrower's name and phone number.
  2. A coordinator contacts the borrower to arrange access and schedule the agent.
  3. The agent documents the asset and the certificate is issued.
  4. The certificate is shared with you, and you can check it at any time by its code.

Common questions

Yes. A lender can request the verification. The borrower or owner has to allow the agent onto the property, and the request form collects the owner's contact details.

Anyone you give the certificate code to can enter it at www.ironmarket.com/verify. Each check re-tests the digital signature, the certificate ledger link and the independent timestamp.
