Farm equipment verification for buyers, lenders and insurers
A certified agent comes to the farm or ranch, reads the serial number or PIN off your tractor, combine or implement, records the hours and photographs its condition. The record is sealed into a certificate your buyer, banker or insurance agent can check for themselves.
Equipment we document
- Tractors of every size, from compact utility tractors to four-wheel-drive row-crop units
- Combines, headers and grain carts
- Hay equipment: round and square balers, mowers, conditioners, rakes and bale handlers
- Sprayers, planters, drills and tillage tools
- Loaders, attachments and the implements that go with them
- Livestock trailers, feed trucks and ranch vehicles (see trailers)
If a machine carries a serial number or PIN, the agent can document it. Smaller items without their own numbers, such as a rack of attachments or shop tools, can be certified together as a Lot.
On a typical tractor visit
- PIN plate read and photographed
- Hour meter photographed
- Cab, tires, hitch, PTO and hydraulics photographed
- Loader and attached implements included
- Standardized questions answered on camera
Why farm equipment gets verified
Selling to a distant buyer
A buyer in another state can see the PIN, hours and condition were recorded by someone other than you. More for sellers.
Buying sight unseen
Confirm the tractor in the listing exists and matches the ad before you wire money or send a truck for it. More for buyers.
Ag loans
Give your lender a third-party record of the collateral at closing, and renew it each year. More for lenders.
Fire, storm and theft
Wildfire, hail and tornadoes are part of farming here. A record made before a loss shows what you had. More for insurance.
Planning a farm visit
Tell us on the request form how many machines there are and where they sit. If they are spread across pastures or barns, a coordinator will plan the visit so the agent can reach each one.
Have the machines where the agent can walk around them, with keys available if the hour meter only reads with the ignition on. Someone who can answer questions about the equipment should be there for the on-camera questions.
Most single tractors and implements fit a Basic verification. Choose Expert for a combine or other high-value machine where a buyer or lender will want more photos and video.
Where we go
